BALTIMORE (AP) -- After Kevin Gausman and Masahiro Tanaka dueled to a draw through eight shutout innings, the Baltimore Orioles finally broke through against the Yankees' bullpen.
Pedro Alvarez drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 10th, and the Orioles squeezed out a 1-0 victory Thursday night.
A day after getting shut out by New York, Baltimore managed only five hits in eight innings against Tanaka. Gausman did even better, limiting New York to three hits through the eighth.
''Both teams pitched very well,'' Alvarez said.
