Alex Cobb's Orioles debut could come as early at April 9.

The Orioles have plotted out a schedule for newly-signed right-hander Alex Cobb that would project him making his first major league start as early as April 9 against the Toronto Blue Jays at Camden Yards.

Cobb is slated to throw a three-inning simulated game on Sunday at the Ed Smith Stadium main field in which the plan is for him to simulate an entire spring training gameday routine.

“That will start about 1 p.m,” Orioles manager Buck Showalter said. “We’re going to try to simulate the whole day with him too, not try to do it too early.
