Orioles center fielder Adam Jones is back in the starting lineup Thursday, batting third and playing center field after being out of the mix for a week with a rib injury.
Jones was a defensive replacement for the Orioles in their wins Monday and Tuesday at Boston, coming in late in the game to play center field as a substitute for outfielder Mark Trumbo in each game.
On Wednesday, Jones took batting practice on the field at Fenway Park, but was held out of the lineup as a precaution due to the cold weather in Boston.
