3 Orioles To Play In World Baseball Classic

Three Orioles will be playing in next year's World Baseball Classic, for three different countries, MLB.com's Jon Morosi reports.

Adam Jones (USA), Manny Machado (Dominican Republic), and Jonathan Schoop (Netherlands) will play in @WBCBaseball, per Dan Duquette. @MLB

Outfielder Adam Jones will play for the U.S. Third baseman Manny Machado will play for the Dominican Republic. Second baseman Jonathan Schoop will play for the Netherlands.

Jones and Schoop played for their respective teams in the 2013 WBC. Machado, who was born in Miami but is of Dominican descent, cited personal reasons in playing for the Dominican team in the WBC instead of Team USA, he told MLB.
