SELMA, Ind. — It was exactly this time last season when Yorktown volleyball’s Kate Vinson had to arrive a little bit ahead of schedule.
The Tigers were 30-1 and riding high with a sweep of Wes-Del in the county championship. But it was bittersweet to watch senior setter Bella Rosenthall hobble out to receive the trophy, moments after she collided with a teammate and badly injured her foot. That forced the now-Auburn libero out of action for two weeks, including the start of sectional.
Enter Vinson, who had been a back row player her first two seasons.
