MUNCIE, Ind. — The Bronze Stalk Trophy will stay in DeKalb for the ninth straight year as Ball State fell to Northern Illinois 63-17 on Thursday night.
While there were certainly some bright moments, they were few and far between. The Cardinals (2-8, 0-6 MAC) lost their seventh straight game and have been outscored 319-63 in league games this season.
Three takeaways from the Cardinals’ final road contest of the season:
1. Yorktown graduate catches first collegiate touchdown pass
Redshirt sophomore Riley Miller started his career as a walk-on and didn’t record a catch in his first two years with the Cardinals.
