ARCADIA, Ind. — Yorktown has arguably been the best team in its softball sectional the last four years, with nothing to show for it.
And when New Castle took a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning of Saturday’s championship game, it looked like the Tigers could be headed for another too-early exit.
“I didn’t really have doubt, but it made me nervous,” junior Skyler Davis said. “We all have butterflies. But no doubt, I knew we would come back from our hearts and all the hard work we’ve put in. I knew we’d come out on top.
