MUNCIE, Ind. — What happened late in the fourth quarter, Walker Moore knows wouldn’t have occurred in past seasons.
Had this have been a previous Yorktown boys basketball team, when Wapahani took a 55-50 lead with about three and a half minutes left in the game the Tigers would have quit. Moore believes his team wouldn’t have played the defense it needed to play. Likely, the Raiders would have coasted to a victory on Yorktown’s home floor.
In fact, the past seven times the two sides had met prior to this season, Wapahani had won each and every time.
