MUNCIE, Ind. — Twice Yorktown was on defense as Hamilton Heights had the ball with a chance to win in the final moments of Wednesday night's sectional opener.
The first came with 5.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Hamilton Heights had gotten the ball with the score tied 37-37 and 1:03 left in the final period of regulation, but both teams burned their final timeouts for what became one last play. The Huskies found the opening they wanted, got the ball in the paint, but what could've been an easy layup turned into a contested shot that Lea Alexander blocked.
