MUNCIE, Ind. — Yorktown and Andrean will be coming into Saturday’s semi-state matchup at Kokomo from opposite ends of the spectrum.
Andrean has six state championships in the last 14 seasons, including last season. Yorktown has never appeared in a state championship game. Andrean is 34-1 and ranked No. 1 in Class 3A, while Yorktown is 18-14 and was under .500 coming into the postseason. Andrean will likely start a Vanderbilt recruit on the mound, while Yorktown will start an unheralded sophomore.
But Saturday at Municipal Stadium, none of that matters.
