After 14 years as the head coach of Yorktown baseball, Mike Larrabee is resigning.
His first season was 2003 after spending the previous nine as a assistant. Yorktown's season ended May 25 after a 13-7 loss to Guerin Catholic in the Class 3A Yorktown Sectional.
The same field that Larrabee called home for 23 years ended up being the place where his career came to a close.
"I've been feeling like I was heading toward this direction for a couple of years," he said Wednesday. "Timing is everything and I just felt like this was it for me.
