MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team improved to 3-1 Sunday afternoon in the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center, with two wins over Eastern Illinois. The Cardinals defeated the Panthers 4-3 in the first match and then 4-2 in the night cap.
Ball State took both of the doubles points from the Panthers Sunday afternoon. Peyton Gollhofer alongside teammate Lilya Hadab took down Srishti Slaria and Claire Martin, 6-3 at the No. 3 position to clinch the point for Ball State in the first match. In the second meeting of the double header, Audrey Berger and Rebecca Herrington put the Cardinals up 1-0 after claiming the doubles point on the top court over EIU's Grace Summers and Stella Cliffe.
