MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis teams hopes of winning the Mid-American Conference Tournament championship for its second-straight season came to an end today, as the No. 4 seed Miami RedHawks defeated the top seeded Cardinals, by a score of 4-2 Saturday afternoon at the Northwest YMCA.
The Ball State women's tennis team won its second-consecutive MAC regular season title last weekend with its 4-3 come-from-behind victory over Akron, also earning the right to host next year's tournament. The Cardinals ended the season with a 20-2 overall mark and a perfect 8-0 league ledger.
Ball State head women's tennis coach Max Norris has led the Cardinals to a 75-21 overall record over the last four seasons and has posted a 25-6 conference ledger.
