HAMILTON, Ohio – The Cardinals (12-4, 1-2 MAC) dropped a 4-3 heartbreaker in Mid-American Conference action this afternoon at Miami University (5-10, 2-1 MAC).
The match went down to the wire, as the score was tied for the third time at 3-3 with just the top court remaining. Senior Audrey Berger dropped the first set 6-3 against the RedHawks' Brindtha Ramasamy. Berger fought back to take the second frame from Ramasamy, 6-4, sending the match to a three set thriller. Ramasamy went on to claim match point after winning in the third, 6-3.
Ball State dropped the opening point to Miami after suffering losses on courts three and one.
