ATHENS, Ohio – The Ball State women's basketball team (7-13, 2-6 MAC) suffered a 94-62 road loss to Ohio University (18-2, 7-2 MAC) Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center.
Sophomore guard Maliah Howard-Bass led the Cardinals in scoring with 15 points while teammate freshman forward Thelma Dis Agustsdottir finished the day with 14. Senior guard Nakeya Penny rounded out the double figure scoring with an 11-point performance. Defensively, sophomore forward Oshlynn Brown pulled down a game-high eight rebounds.
Ohio set the tone early in the opening minutes of the game and had outscored the Cardinals 18-9 by the media timeout.
