WNIT: How Ball State basketball regrouped to get rematch with Purdue

MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State coach Brady Sallee met with seniors Moriah Monaco, Destiny Washington and Frannie Frazier on Monday. They needed to quickly regroup from a disappointing Mid-American Conference Tournament showing and look ahead to the Women's National Invitational Tournament.

After a slow start Thursday against visiting Middle Tennessee, the Cardinals fought their way to a 69-60 victory and earn a rematch with Purdue in the second round. The loss in the MAC quarterfinals to Western Michigan seemed like a distant memory.

"On Wednesday we were really disappointed with how we played and how things went," Washingtons aid.
