YORKTOWN, Ind. — Reid Neal was standing on the sideline following Yorktown's 26-20 win over Central, helmet off, and was asked to describe the difference between least season's team and this one.
"We were 3-7 last year, and..." he said. His sentence trailed off.
"You lost a lot of close games, though."
"Yeah," Neal said. "Five."
The matter-of-fact tone in Neal's voice suggested he knows just how close the Tigers were to winning six or seven games last year. After all, their final five losses were all by eight points or less, and two came by just one point.
