YORKTOWN, Ind. — The thought of what it would be like not to play volleyball never crossed Ellee Stinson's mind, until she couldn't.
On Monday, Yorktown High School announced that it was shutting down its volleyball program until Aug. 27 because of a COVID-19 situation in the school. As a result, the 2016 and 2018 state champion Tigers were not allowed to compete in their first six matches as scheduled.
Stinson, a Northwestern volleyball commit, understands why she and her teammates have to be at home. The senior understands why they have to miss games.
