For more than two decades, Wright said it’d been “My decision, my decision, my decision” on what the next move would be. Since he and WIU parted ways after six seasons, WIU announcing in March 2020 it would not renew his contract, Wright said there were a few opportunities that arose. But they didn’t check the “location box.
