MUNCIE, Ind. — Throughout Jalen Windham’s freshman year in college, as he played basketball for the Creighton Bluejays, time and again he wished he were closer to home.
Whether it was because of the ups and downs he experienced as a freshman. Whether it was because of problems he endured on the court. The Indiana native and Ben Davis High School product wasn’t often able to have the face-to-face interactions with those closest to him, with those he believes know what’s best for him, from which he felt he would benefit.

And so, while Windham said he hadn’t really considered transferring over the course of Creighton’s 2019-20 season, when he returned home after the Big East Conference canceled its men’s basketball tournament he came to that realization as he reviewed the season with family.
