MUNCIE, Ind. — In the time since the 2020-21 season ended, Ball State men’s basketball has seen its roster and coaching staff change significantly.
Ishmael El-Amin, K.J. Walton, Jarron Coleman and Zach Gunn have all explored the option to transfer, with El-Amin (Rhode Island), Walton (Akron) and Coleman (Missouri) officially joining other collegiate programs. Those first three all have been regular starters with BSU and earned recognition from the Mid-American Conference in one way or another; should they have chosen to stay, they likely would have been frontrunners to start for coach James Whitford’s squad this upcoming season.
