MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State is facing an uphill climb at getting one of the four coveted byes in the Mid-American Conference Tournament.
After a 79-78 loss at Bowling Green on Tuesday night, the Cardinals are just 1-3 in league play. But though they lost their third straight, Ball State coach James Whitford was encouraged.
Whitford is not a results-oriented coach, if you haven’t figured out by now in his sixth season. He values playing well and on nights like Tuesday, he leaves the locker room feeling good about the direction of the team.
