CLEVELAND - - For his play in Saturday's match at Indiana, Ball State men's tennis senior Nathaniel Webster has been named the Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week.
Webster picked up his first singles victory of the spring season on the top court, taking down Indiana's No. 1 player Jip van Assendelft by a score of 6-3, 7-5. It was Ball State's first point of the match and would spark a near comeback as the Cardinals fell to the Hoosiers by a score of 4-3.
Webster and the rest of the Ball State men's tennis team return to action Saturday when they travel to Illinois State for a 5:30 p.
