MUNCIE, Ind. — Wendell Brown remembers what people said to him when he first came to Ball State.
“This is a family,” they told the Detroit native. “We’re a family here.”
He remembers everyone preaching that to his young, 17-year-old freshman self in 2004, as he tried to be a factor on the football field for the Cardinals. He remembers his first game at Scheumann Stadium, the first game of his college career, and his last in 2008 for a team that finished the regular season undefeated. He remembers the friends he made who became a part of his life forever and the coaches who meant so much to him.
