ATHENS, Ohio - The Ball State women's basketball team (9-4, 1-1 MAC) suffered a 73-48 loss to Ohio (10-3, 2-0 MAC) Wednesday night in the Convocation Center.
The Cardinals were plagued by turnovers (26) and had one of their worst shooting performances from the field (32.7) including only 20.0 from the 3-point line. Ball State did outrebound the Bobcats (44-to-32) including 31 off of the defensive glass.
For the first time in eight games, senior guard Nathalie Fontaine was held below 20 points after scoring 15 for the contest. Fontaine also pulled down 14 rebounds (12 of them defensive boards) for her 25th career double-double.
