AKRON, Ohio – The Ball State women's basketball team fell behind early in tonight's Mid-American Conference game at Akron and could never recover, losing the contest by a score of 91-61 in James A. Rhodes Arena.
It was the first time the Zips had defeated the Cardinals since the 2014 season.
Ball State (7-16, 2-9 MAC) shot only 33 percent from the field and made just 9-of-31 shots in the first half.
Sophomore forward Oshlynn Brown led the Cardinals with 16 points and nine rebounds while senior guard Jasmin Samz along with sophomore guard Maliah Howard-Bass added 12 each.
