MUNCIE, Ind. - From start-to-finish, the Ball State women's basketball team put on a strong offensive display which ultimately led to the Cardinals impressive 89-63 win over in-state rival IU Indy Friday night in Worthen Arena.
With the win, the Cardinals open their season 2-0 for the second-straight year while the Jaguars fall to 1-1.
In true Cardinal fashion, Ball State opened the contest with a 9-3 scoring spree which saw two 3-pointers from and along with a fast break layup from . Not only were the Cardinals making shots from outside the arc but also the post players were making strong statements as well to give BSU the 19-11 edge over IU Indy at the end of the first quarter.
