OXFORD, Ohio – The Ball State women's basketball team (16-7, 9-2 MAC) closed Mid-American Conference action this week with another road win after defeating Miami (7-16, 1-9 MAC) 81-60 Saturday afternoon in Millett Hall.
For the second-straight game sophomore guard Destiny Washington led the Cardinals in scoring with 21 points and grabbed six boards. Senior center Renee Bennett registered 18 points scoring all 16 in the second half while junior forward Moriah Monaco ended the day with 17 points.
Although the stat sheet was similar in most categories today, it was the Cardinals who took better care of the ball only committing 11 turnovers while forcing the RedHawks to 17 miscues.
