MUNCIE, Ind. — Wapahani and Yorktown are moving on thanks to matching shutouts, setting the stage for Saturday.
The Delaware County Baseball Tournament began Tuesday night, with Wapahani rolling to a 6-0 win over Delta and Yorktown notching a 9-0 win over Cowan. And once again, Wapahani's Brevan Rivers and Yorktown's Robby Hook were dominant on the mound.
Rivers tossed his fourth straight complete game, the third straight outing in which he did not allow an earned run. He struck out three, walked one and yielded five hits.
Hook was just as good in the nightcap, striking out 11 while allowing no walks and two hits.
