SELMA — If anything, Grant Thompson knows how to bounce back.
He didn't have a good start to the first inning. He flung a ball several feet wide of second base and into center field while attempting to throw out Jay County's Jacob Geesaman on a steal attempt, allowing him to reach third. Then, he was unsuccessful in stopping a ball from getting past him a few pitches later, Geesaman coming home to score.
Just a couple of mistakes, ones that would stick in his mind for the rest of Wapahani's 13-3 win over Jay County.
"It wasn't a very good throw on my part, that's for sure," Thompson said.
