LAFAYETTE, Ind. — As Delphi’s celebration Saturday night moved toward and into right field, and stayed there for some time after the final out had been made, Wapahani’s players watched from their first-base dugout.
Some of the Raiders leaned up against a barrier, while others were seated behind them. Some of the Raiders had tears streaming down their faces, while others appeared to simply be shocked by the moment they were experiencing.
Over the course of the 2021 high school baseball season in Indiana, prior to Wapahani’s Class 2A regional final against Delphi at Lafayette Central Catholic, the Raiders had showcased just how much of a power they were.
