CHICAGO – It was a historic night for the Ball State men's volleyball program Saturday as head coach Joel Walton recorded the 400th victory of his career and the Cardinals picked up their first win at Loyola since 1999.
BSU improved to 9-5 for the season and 2-2 in MIVA play with the win while Loyola dropped to 5-10 overall and 2-3 in the MIVA.
The milestones appeared to be in doubt early with Ball State digging itself in a 2-0 hole to start the match. The Cardinals were able to rally though and completed the reverse sweep to snap the losing streak to the Ramblers on their home floor.
