MUNCIE, Ind. — There are some differences in Yorktown's senior group now compared to four years ago when they won their first sectional. They are more savvy. They know how to handle a sectional meet where they might have to compete in four or five events.
But there are also some similarities in those girls. They are just as hungry. They are just as competitive. And they are champions.
Yorktown (159) dominated the field at Delta High School on Tuesday night to win the girls track sectional over Delta (114) and Jay County (109). The Tigers have now won four straight sectional crowns dating back to 2015, extending their program record of consecutive titles.
