Tyler, Butler Help Lift Ball State to 8-3 Win Over Eastern Michigan

MUNCIE, Ind. – It was a happy Senior Day for the Ball State baseball team as the Cardinals won the rubber game over Eastern Michigan Sunday afternoon at Ball Diamond, 8-3.

Senior Scott Tyler provided the key hit in the game, a two-out, two-run home run down the right field line in the bottom of the fourth inning to put Ball State (29-19, 14-7 MAC) in front for the first time, 4-3.

Junior relief pitcher BJ Butler (5-0) made the lead hold up as the righty pitched the final five frames and only allowed two singles.
