MUNCIE, Ind. — After a Ball State basketball practice in late November, Trey Moses was doing an interview outside the Dr. Don Shondell Center when a woman approached him.
"I’m so sorry to interrupt," she said. "Trey, when you get done, there’s a group of fifth graders in there practicing, and it would make their day if you stopped in and said hello."
Moses smiled.
"I’ll be in there," he said.
Head coach James Whitford has joked that he never knows who he’ll find Moses talking to in a given moment, and it underscores the essence of Moses.
