MUNCIE, Ind. - - The last time the entire Ball State track & field team competed, the Cardinals earned five Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championship automatic qualifying marks, 17 top 10 finishes and 20 career-best performances.
After taking last week off for training, other than junior Maritza Rodriguez who clocked a personal-record of 17:06.59 the 5000m at the Raleigh Relays, the Cardinals are ready and determined to light up the results once again at this weekend's Oliver Nikoloff Invitational hosted by Cincinnati.
Ball State head coach Brian Etelman believes the timing of the bye week for the Cardinals was critical heading into a busy, and hopefully productive month of April.
