MUNCIE, Ind. – Sophomore tossed 7.1 innings of shutout baseball to help the Ball State baseball team pick up a 3-0 win over local rival Fort Wayne Tuesday afternoon at First Merchants Ballpark Complex.
Ball State (26-22) has now won five straight meetings against Fort Wayne (8-37) and leads the all-time series, 18-2.
Harmon, a native of Russiaville, Indiana, had only thrown 2.1 innings all season entering today's game. The righty held the Mastodons to three hits and struck out five batters. At one point early in the contest, Harmon retired 10 consecutive Fort Wayne batters.
