MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State football is back in the win column.
The Cardinals (2-3, 0-1 MAC) welcomed in a previously unbeaten Army (4-1) team to Scheumann Stadium and beat the Black Knights, 28-16.
Ball State scored more points in the first quarter then it had in any of its previous four games. Its defense held Army's option offense in check like no other team has this season. And, because of that, the Cardinals snapped a three-game losing streak and earned a much-needed win as they head into the remainder of their Mid-American Conference schedule.
