MUNCIE, Ind. — There's excitement swirling around the Ball State women's basketball team heading into the 2021-22 season.
No one on the team has a position and, despite welcoming in a number of new recruits and transfers in the offseason, no one is identified as a "newcomer" or "returner." In Brady Sallee's eyes, who enters his 10th season leading the Cardinals, putting labels like that can cause an unintentional divide on the team.
"I told them they weren’t allowed to label themselves early on as returners and newcomers because it’s so easy. I would do it, too, it’s just easy," Sallee said.
