FARMLAND, Ind. — The future is bright for the Yorktown boys golf team, but so is the present.
And even on a day when the Tigers didn't have their best stuff, it was more than enough at the Monroe Central Sectional at Hickory Hills. Yorktown carded a 315 to win the title and outpace second-place Wapahani (330) and third-place Muncie Central (330), both of which also qualified for Thursday's regional at the Players Club.
"The thing I've tried to instill in them is that we're young, but let's not wait. Let's try to do some cool stuff now," Yorktown coach Nathan McClung said.
