SHELBYVILLE – He can only hold a smile for so long, that Bob Knight. He's posing for picture after picture and making small talk, and that closed-mouth smile starts out strong. But a few seconds pass, and that smile weakens and weakens until he's back to being Bob Knight.
He's sitting at the corner of a table near the bar at the Indiana Grand race track. People are coming up to shake hands and say a little something to the legendary former Indiana University men's basketball coach who is here Friday night before serving as honorary chairperson at Saturday's Indiana Derby.
