MUNCIE, Ind. — Evan Conley couldn't remember the last time when he wasn't at a football field on a Friday night, either as a fan or player.
His father, Delta Principal Chris Conley, told Evan that last Friday was the first time in more than 20 years that he wasn't attending a football game during the regular season.
Last week, the 2020 high school football season kicked off in Indiana, but Delta — along with a number of other schools that had games canceled — didn't play. The Eagles returned to practice on Aug. 19 after being forced to quarantine for two weeks following a positive COVID-19 case on their team.
