With a 45-20 road win over Central Michigan, Ball State is one victory away from securing its spot in the Mid-American Conference championship game.
After having its first four games decided by a touchdown or less, Ball State dominated Central Michigan for its fourth consecutive victory against a MAC West Division opponent. Next week, Ball State will host Western Michigan (4-1) in the final game of the regular season. The winner will play in the MAC title game.
Against Central Michigan, Ball State took a 10-0 lead thanks to a 35-yard field goal from redshirt freshman Jack Knight and 20-yard touchdown pass from redshirt senior quarterback Drew Plitt to junior wide receiver Yo'Heinz Tyler.
