NORFOLK, Va. - An old-fashioned Sunday pitching duel went Old Dominion's way Sunday, as the home team got a walk-off sac fly in the 10th inning to slip past Ball State 2-1. ODU took all three games of the series against BSU (6-7), which enters conference play next week having played one of the nation's toughest non-conference schedules.
Adam Tellier had his best game, going 4-for-4 and reaching base five times while driving in the team's only run with an RBI single in the 7th inning. That single scored Ryan Peltier and tied the game 1-1 as both teams sported superb pitching.
