MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State men’s tennis player Andrew Stutz was named the Mid-American Conference Singles Player of the Week, the conference office announced Thursday.
Stutz started the weekend off with a straight set, 6-4, 6-4, victory over Northern Illinois’ Louis-Philippe Hamel at the No. 2 singles position. He also won on the top court in doubles action with teammate Conner Andersen, helping the Cardinals claim the doubles point over the Huskies. Stutz’s victories led the Cardinals to a 4-3 win at Northern Illinois, April 2. With the win over the Huskies, Stutz has improved his Mid-American Conference record to 3-1 on the season.
