MUNCIE, Ind. — It had to end sometime, right?
Ball State’s nine-game winning streak came to a screeching halt Saturday at Worthen Arena as Buffalo dealt the Cardinals an 83-63 setback in front of 3,622 fans. The last time Ball State lost? All the way back before Thanksgiving, Nov. 22 at Bucknell.
Of Ball State's five losses, this was just the third one where the Cardinals were indisputably outplayed. This far into the season, that's no small feat.
But losing by this much at home is alarming for a team that has NCAA Tournament aspirations (though it's not as bad as the 27-point shellacking Buffalo put on Ball State last season at Worthen Arena).
