BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - - The Ball State indoor track & field team opened the two-day Gladstein Invitational hosted by Indiana with a pair of preliminary heat wins Friday evening at IU’s Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse.
Overall, the Cardinals competed in seven events on the opening day of the meet, and will conclude action by participating in five more Saturday.
Freshman Peyton Stewart (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) highlighted Ball State’s efforts Friday, winning her preliminary heat in the 60m dash with a time of 7.65 to earn the fourth seed in Saturday’s event final.
