WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Junior Caleb Stayton piled up a career-high six RBIs as the Ball State baseball team erupted for 11 runs in an 11-5 victory over Milwaukee Friday evening. The game was the first of four this weekend for the Cardinals at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational.
Stayton’s six RBIs were the most by a Ball State player since Kenny Mahala recorded eight RBIs in 2011 against Bowling Green. His biggest hit came in the fifth inning when his three-run home run, the first of the year by a Cardinal, put Ball State (2-3) on top for good, 6-4.
