Since 2007, the IHSAA volleyball state championships have been held at Worthen Arena.
Commissioner Bobby Cox said Muncie is a great place to hold the championships. Worthen Arena is an ideal facility and with the volleyball history surrounding Delaware County, they couldn't ask for more.
That's why the IHSAA has no plans to leave Muncie in the near future.
"After the tournament, we look at everything surrounding the tournament," Cox said. "Ball State's been a wonderful host, and the folks here at Worthen Arena have been great. It's a great environment for volleyball in this county with great tradition and history.
