CLEVELAND, Ohio - - The Ball State softball team placed four student-athletes on the 2017 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team as announced by the league office.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for their particular sport. First year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residency are not eligible.
Ball State seniors Amanda Arnett and Rachel Houck earn the honors for the third time in their careers, as both also picked up the award in 2015 and 2016.
